Day 1 at STEM Camp was a BLAST!
[cy]BEARCATS #11214 is making an IMPACT! We had an amazing time working with rising 1st-8th graders, exploring STEM fundamentals, coding with Spheros, and catching yellow balls shot by KIT CAT—our [CY]BEARCATS' robot from last year's REBUILT season. Our newly forming FTC teams for Bainbridge Middle School are also hard at work this week, learning the ropes and practicing core values alongside everyone. Can't wait for an incredible week ahead! 🤖

🚀🌎 BMS Bearcats Compete on the National Stage in Detroit! 🌎🚀

Three outstanding Bainbridge Middle School Bearcats are representing our community at the RTX Invention Convention U.S. Nationals in Detroit, Michigan, where the nation's top young innovators have gathered to showcase their groundbreaking ideas.

Their invention, Climate Pack: Built for Extremes, was designed to address the challenges people face in extreme hot and cold climates. The innovative backpack helps regulate temperature while also incorporating a companion app that monitors climate conditions, tracks the pack's effectiveness, and connects users around the world to share data and strengthen the impact of the invention.

The students have presented their project to judges, industry professionals, and fellow innovators while exploring exhibits and participating in experiences that celebrate creativity, engineering, and problem-solving.

The team is competing for national recognition, as well as opportunities that could help move their invention toward the next level, including legal and manufacturing services and the potential for patent support.

We are incredibly proud of these young innovators for representing Bainbridge Middle School, Decatur County Schools, and the Bearcat community on a national stage. Their hard work, ingenuity, and commitment to solving real-world problems exemplify the very best of STEM education.

Join us in congratulating these Bearcats and wishing them continued success in Detroit!

Testing may be over and the end of school may be near, but BMS students are still learning! Students in Mr. Perry's ELT and Science classes had a blast demonstrating all the incredible skills they've developed this year! From concept to creation, these talented learners:
✅ Planned their projects
✅ Designed and built
✅ Tested and refined

Check out what they created: 🎢 Roller coasters 🏃 Marble runs 🎡 Ferris wheels 💨 Wind-powered cars

Their work doesn't just showcase engineering—it influences curiosity, ignites innovation, and inspires us all. This is what hands-on learning looks like! We are so proud of the creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork on display!
