Students in Mr. Stubbs class had a great time Friday with Mrs. Chandler doing Art while learning about School Bus Safety. They did a wonderful job. Than You Mrs. Kelly for your help.
Our 2nd graders are growing their math skills! They practiced making arrays to show repeated addition and discover counting patterns. It was exciting to see them connect math concepts in a hands-on way and realize how arrays make addition (and even multiplication!) easier to understand.

First grade teachers show their Bearcat Pride!
Ms. Haynes's first grade students had fun "counting on" from a "magical number" on number lines. The students worked collaboratively to figure out what numbers came next on their number lines.
First grades students making real world connections with their ELA lesson about Beach Day. Students enjoyed playing in the sand and other beach themed activities. We would like to thank our Community Partners, Mr. Billy Sanders at South GA Sand for donating the sand, Mr. Lewis for delivering the sand, and Councilman Kregg Close for helping us make the connections. The students had a blast!
Cub Scouts visited us today at WBP!
After a weekly discussion about being a good friend, students in Ms. Brown’s and Mrs. Kennedy’s Pre-K class made friendship trail mix and shared how they could be a good friend to others.

Principal, West Bainbridge Primary
With 21 years of service, Ortega Butler leads West Bainbridge Primary with dedication, high expectations, and a passion for seeing students succeed. Originally from Bainbridge, Butler oversees a team of 82 employees, ensuring that the educational needs of all students are being met every day.
Before entering education, Butler worked with the Department of Family and Children Services (DFCS), where she witnessed many of the challenges children face. That experience inspired her to shift to a role where she could see and support students at their best, which is in education.
In her role as principal, Butler focuses on fostering both academic and social growth for every student. “Seeing students grow academically and socially is the most rewarding part of my job,” she shares. She also works to support teachers in acquiring the skills they need to help all students achieve academic success.
